Question of the Month- August
Nutrition
Have you seen a connection with the food you eat and how you feel?
Just this last month I got a food sensitivity test because I was feeling rather cruddy. My ND discovered I had a intolerance of gluten. The name for this is celiax dx.
Gluten is in many grains: wheat, spelt, bulgur, rye. Most people are fine with it. But for some it can cause the villi in the small intestine to become damaged. When that happens it interferes with absorption of nutrients. This can effect the body in a big way.
It is most common in people of North European desent. Yet 1% of the population has this and most are not aware of the impact something as simple as gluten can have on how they feel physically and emotionally.

Peace & Meditation: Question/ Thought of the week 6/24/2006
"You are so part of the world
that your slightest action contributes to its reality.
Your breath changes the atmosphere.
Your encounters with others
alter the fabrics of their lives,
and the lives of those
who come in contact with them."
-Jane Roberts
Has anyone heard of the studies on meditation and world peace? (please see links below if you have not.
What do you think? Could this be possible? Could we dare hope?
Do you BELIEVE? Can you Imagine?
Essentially when we meditate we can impact the world and change what happens. Often hate and violence is a response to the energetic environment. So if we can create peace in the atmosphere it shifts the tone and violence can't work the same.
If more that 1% of a total population practices mediation the effect is amplified (thus it WILL cause a peaceful effect)

Meditations Effect on war (measured results):
Question of the week 3/13/06
It is interesting to see what people who want to change the world do. I know my husband and I have found a way to live well, with out being a prisoner to a unhealthy lifestyle.
By this I mean that so much time is spent working and if we are stuck in a unhealthy environment and don't utilize our creativity we are hurting ourselves.
I teach yoga and work in the wellness field. I do this because I believe that we must clear our bodies and be healthy. And the more people work on themselves the more they will get beyond and GET IT. And move beyond current patterns and possible limitations.
I have met people who do work a 9-5 job who are happy and are doing wonderful things- and changing things (movers and shakers)
A friend of mine founded a school. It is for families who home educate. Her passion is to help change the current educational paradigm. And she is driven. I am on the board of this school. It is amazing.
My husband is a deal maker. He finds people and properties. And everyone he meets learns how to see the world differently. And finds out there are many ways to create a living. And that when we change our perspective things open up.
