i went to all public, private, was home tutored, life and self educated. If i ever have kids, i would NEVER EVER send them to a regular school.
Why?
are you kidding me…. it's the best JOKE on Earth…. PERIOD
Seriously….
firstly most of the information thought at schools u can get for free on internet
secondly i started at the age of 11 with private College Level tutoring and then took on a journey entirely by cheating on tests through many leading and accredited universities in Europe, South Africa, England, and then ending up to finish my Doctorate this way at the Columbia University, one of the ivy league schools in USA, where one 3-credit class costs $3800, when my first hour was spend sitting and listening to the “Professor” reading from his published book…. That moment the sky opened and the stars spoke as I realized that was in fact the act of cheating.. PERIOD…. As I can do that for free at the public Library so why would I pay $3800 to Columbia…..
sooooo… If you ask me… the entire educational system in every single country on the entire planet must be taken to court and sued for 650 Billion American Dollars for cheating, manipulating and enslaving the human race, and use this fund to build self-sufficient energy buildings and houses on every corner of the world, that use Free Earth Resources like Wind, Sun, Water, Fire, and that they become available free of charge for all beings on Earth…..
I went to public school and it sucked no one really cares for the children just a pay check and they don't teach what we really need to know .It's a place to program humans the way the big man whats us to be. I would send my kids to private or home school them (I think home school would be best : )
Schools a whole lot different now that when I went to school - public and I think I learned what I had to. Its just been altered to suit the pollies these days to controverse.
I went to public school here in Ireland and it is a place I will NEVER send my children. At the moment, only one of my daughters is of school-going age. (We start ‘em at 4 here). She is still in a Montessori playschool and will stay there until she is 5.5. Then, she will go to a local Gael Scoil, which is a primary school that adheres (sort of!) to the standard curriculum but all subjects are taught through Irish. I am sending her there not just because of the language but because of the ethos of the school; children are valued for who they are and the learning is more child-led and child-centred than any other school around. For example, the older kids at the school (10-12 years olds) make the rules! Children are asked for their input with regard to problems in the school. I think it’s wonderfully empowering.
I love the *idea* of homeschooling but doubt myself. I’m reading for a degree myself at the moment and don’t know if I could do it all.
Any thoughts or suggestions on that one would be most welcome! *S*

So it's a bunch of stuff… they were all pretty different… sent my kids to Montessori, and some public when they were good schools and I had involvement with the schools … and private schools when we could do that.
I knew someone who “home schooled” her son the last few years of high school .. because he kept getting kicked out of school.. suspensions, etc… but she would take the tests for him… and when she was not able to “get” the subjects, she would ask friends to come over and take the tests … to get him past and graduated and out of the house… she asked me when she needed math and physics… I tried to help her see the harm she was doing… she did not care and figured he was a smart kid… could manage anyway… I did not take the test for her/him…
But generally the people I've met who do the home school thing, the children turn out much superior, in their development… to any other method… as far as I know… which is not much. Some are truely amazinng… witness Princess.

I agree wholeheartedly with Princess's assessment of the “public fool” system.
Thanks!
